Making Culture Do-able Lunch

from measuring to managing...

MODAL is pleased to invite you to join us for Lunch with Carolyn Taylor, author of Walking the Talk.  One of the globe’s foremost experts on culture and leadership, Carolyn will be sharing her insights around Making Culture Do-able - from measurement to management.

We have found that culture is the single most critical factor in determining an organisation’s ability to execute its chosen strategy.  Working with WA organisations, many understand the importance of culture and are actively working on or measuring culture. The key challenge that we hear is how do we actually change or develop our culture?  As Rod Eddington, former CEO of British Airways said, “Changing culture is like trying to perform an engine change, in flight”.

It is this kind of challenge that has seen many organisations back away from culture as being too hard, too slow or too messy.  In our experience this is not the case. Culture is developed and changed through the alignment of behaviours, symbols and systems to the statements being made about what their organisation stands for.  A culture business plan helps organisations to close the gap between what they say and what they do.

Carolyn will be presenting some of her experiences of how to practically go about changing culture. As Perth's leading advisors in the area of culture and culture change, MODAL is pleased to partner with Carolyn in bringing the Walking the Talk methodology to the WA market.
